Shivani Savdharia
Upper School Mathematics
Shivani Savdharia has worked in education for twenty years. She began her teaching career as a bilingual educator for the Peace Corps in Nicaragua. Since then she has primarily taught mathematics at various independent schools across the Bay Area, including The Nueva School, Julia Morgan School for Girls, and The Athenian School. She served as the Assistant Principal for Yu Ming Charter School.
Shivani is also a former learning and development lead for IDEO, a leading global design and innovation firm, and continues to bring her design-thinking background to strengthen school communities. She earned both her B.A. in Economics and M.A. in Education along with her CA Teaching Credential from UC Berkeley.
In her free time, she can be found exploring local farmers' markets, hiking around redwoods, spending the day gardening with her husband or getting lost in arts and crafts with her two kids. She loves flowers, bold colors, textiles from around the world, and all things home organization and interior design, and is inspired to be a minimalist, but for now, she's a maximalist focused on keeping everything in order!
